Food and Catering
The Bush Retreat has a fully equipped kitchen ready for guests to cook up an evening feast, a lounging lunch or a big brekkie before a day of exploring. For those who would prefer to take a more relaxed option we have our chef’s choice dinner $35pp and breakfast $25pp that can be ordered prior to arrival.
Our kitchen comes with everything you need to get cooking including a communal fridge, pots and pans, plates, cutlery, utensils, platters and a washing up area. Food supplies can be purchased on the way in the nearby township of St Helens where you will find two IGA supermarkets and the East Coast Village Providore.
We also specialise in group catered options with a range of food experiences on offer. The Retreat has its very own live-in chef – Thomas Dicker. Tom is the former head chef and co-owner of two acclaimed restaurants: Angasi at Binalong Bay and Drift Café Restaurant in Devonport. Tom is passionate about quality Tasmanian produce and his relaxed nature is reflected in his cooking style. He cooks with love!

The Bay of Fires is a place of stunning and unique natural beauty. From the orange covered rocks and turquoise waters to the densely forested mountain ranges, there are innumerable things to do and see. The Retreat is positioned as the perfect gateway to explore this incredible part of Australia. World class white sandy beaches stretch for miles starting from the amazing Binalong Bay all the way through to Eddystone Point and beyond.
