What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 2pm-6pm, and check out is 10am. If you are expecting to arrive outside of this timeframe, please contact us in advance to make arrangements for this.


What meal and food options are available at the retreat?
At the retreat, we offer a delicious selection of preprepared meals made by our in-house chefs.  We also offer a prepared breakfast platter ($25pp) which can be booked prior to arrival. Our onsite platter bar also offers a selection of great Tassie produce and house made items to perfectly compliment the wonderful selection of Tasmanian wines and craft beers in our honesty bar – you can also count on finding a sweet treat too.
We also offer a range of catered options for Exclusive Group Bookings, prepared by our in house chefs.


What are the rates for each space?

Can I stay with my children?
Yes! Our Bunk House is the perfect option for families. Complete with a king bed for parents and 4 single bunks for the kids, our Bunk House sleeps 6 comfortably.
If your heart is set on our Bell Tents, children aged 12+ are welcome. Please add them as an adult at the time of booking.
What is the maximum amount of people per Bell Tent?
The maximum number of guests that can be accommodated in a Bell Tent is strictly 3.
What is the charge for extra guests?
Our base rate for each accommodation option includes 2 guests.  Additional guests are $50 per person, per night.
Can I book out the entire retreat for my group?

Can I buy a voucher?
You certainly can, our digital vouchers can be purchased online here.
How long are vouchers valid for?
Vouchers purchased from November 2019 are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.
Vouchers purchased prior to November 2019 are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
How do I use my voucher?
Please follow these steps to claim your voucher.
  • Check availability on our booking site.
  • Once you have found an available date that works for you, email and include the following information: full name, mobile no, voucher code and the date you would like to book.
  • Once you have received your confirmation email, make sure the dates on the confirmation email are correct, and as you wish.
  • If you would like to add any additional meals to your booking, contact us prior to our arrival.


I have a voucher which expired during the COVID-19 restriction period, or is about to expire, what are my options?
We will be extending vouchers, taking into consideration the period for which we’ve been closed due to COVID.
What is happening at the Bush Retreat during our closure period?
We are busy working away on projects and new developments at the Retreat.  These include:
  • Extending and developing our native gardens
  • Additional landscaping, creating pockets for guest to relax in the outdoors and soak up the good bush vibes.
  • Further work on our walking track and mountain bike loop YAY!
  • We’re fitting out a new bike workshop and storage space so guests can fine-tune their bikes before hitting the local St Helens and Blue Derby mountain bike trails.
  • Our vegie garden is getting a lot of attention too!
  • All in all, we are really making the most of this time to make the Retreat even more beautiful and improve the facilities for you, our guests.  We’re looking forward to sharing the new and improved space with you as soon as we reopen. Until then, take care and stay safe.
